For weddings, we find the world's most beautiful melodies, and improvise around them.

Reel Women is a duo - or trio or quintet on occasion, when we add our favorite real men (or real women) to become "Reel Women and the Jigelos". Kristin Graham supplies the lovely harmonies and toe-tapping rhythms on keyboard, and Martha Edwards makes the violin sing and the fiddle growl.

Wedding Theme Ideas
Did you love "Riverdance"? How about a wedding or reception filled with beautiful Irish/Scottish airs and soulful/happy dance tunes?

Or "Songcatcher." American classic fiddle tunes to get your reception guests kicking up their heels in an old-fashioned barn dance. We'll recommend a caller/MC who knows how to get a crowd moving.

Waltzes are for lovers. One of our favorite weddings is the Waltz Wedding, where we play all of our lyric waltzes, our passionate walzes, our lovely walzes and even (later, during the reception) our silly waltzes. Ask about our waltz lessons.

For an exotic Gypsy/Arabian Nights Wedding, we bring Eastern European and Middle Eastern Klezmer music to spice things up.

How about a 1904 World's Fair Wedding, complete with Ragtime and Charleston music? (If you ask nicely, we'll even play some sultry Tangos, though the Tango didn't get to America until 1914.)

A Jane Austen Wedding might be the most romantic of all. In addition to the music, we can bring demonstration dancers in period costume to show the dances and get your guests up and dancing to the elegant (or raucous) dances from 18th-century England and France.

Or make up your own. Music from all of these periods mixes and matches very well, and we'll work with you to customize the music that suits your occasion.

Fees
Our fees are reasonable, usually $250-$625 for the first hour, and $100-$250 per hour after the first hour, depending on the size of the group. Callers and Dancers are extra, but worth it!
